Hancock County Economic Development has been know all over the county for our Business Plan Grant program. New or developing businesses apply by attending workshops, creating a business plan, and submitting that plan to our panel of judges. Everyone who participates leaves with valuable information and a complete working business plan, the grant recipient(s) receive a $10,000.
Thursday, March 14th, 2024 will be our first of 5 workshops and will be one of two mandatory workshops. The second mandatory workshop will be Thursday, March 28, 2024 where participants will have the opportunity to learn about the financial aspects of a business plan and have time to put their own numbers to work.
The program is designed to help business owners and start ups on their way to building a foundation for growth and development. A business plan is paramount to receiving funding in the way of grants and loans and HCED wants to help facilitate the process of creating a plan. Our hope is that the workshops, process, and our panel of judges feedback will offer insight to growth and development for all of our participants.
